NOSE SURGERY

It is one of the most requested procedures in our consultation. It is performed in patients over 17 years of age and in good health.

This procedure can increase or decrease the size of the nose in relation to other facial structures, narrow the width, modify the height of the septum, improve the profile, sharpen the tip and cease to be bulbous, decrease and correct asymmetries in the Nasal holes and correct deviations of the septum to improve breathing.

The surgical goal of a rhinoplasty is to improve the appearance and proportion of the nose and face of the harmonic form, without estimating to have been operated, ie to obtain a natural result, to improve the self-esteem and the safety of our patients.

This procedure is performed under anesthesiologist-controlled intravenous sedation and complete monitoring.

A thermomouldable nasal splint and nasal packing are placed after the operation. The patient remains in the clinic until the next day, when the nasal plugs are removed. One week after the procedure, the patient returns to the office, the nasal splint is removed, and surgical tape is placed, which is removed four days later.

The first week after the operation, the patient should sleep with the head elevated (two or three pillows), avoid the sun and comply with medical prescriptions.

Normal social activities are performed ten days after surgery and physical exercises at three weeks.

After the tenth day of the operation we began to massage anti-inflammatory drainage and proceed to teach the patient to perform for several months every day.

It can take up to a year to get the final result. During this time gradually lower the inflammation until obtaining a permanent result.

The approximate duration of the procedure is one hour, but may vary depending on the case.
